WIP Wednesday…

Multi Pattern Mittens

Startitis got me again.  I’ve had half a sock cast on for a long time and finally decided that this yarn didn’t want to be a sock, it wanted to be something else, something showy.  I was leafing through Knit Red by Laura Zander, owner of Jimmy Beans Wool in Reno and I came a cross the most beautiful pair of mittens by Jared Flood.  I figured what the heck, ripped out my socks, re-wound the skein and cast on.

Yarn:  MadelineTosh, Tosh Sock in Logwood

Needles:  US 2

So it’s summer and I’m knitting mittens…they’re sock weight!

I love the textured pattern on the back.  I think they are going to come out perfect and be perfect this fall and winter when the weather turns.
